Peter J. Tomasi is a comic book and graphic novel writer who has worked on a variety of titles for DC Comics, Marvel Comics, and Dark Horse Comics. His most recent work includes the Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate graphic novel, which he co-wrote with Doug Mahnke. Tomasi began his career in the comic book industry as an editor for DC Comics, where he worked on titles such as Batman, Green Lantern, and The Flash. He made the transition to writing comics in 2000, with the release of the first issue of JLA: Black Baptism. Since then, he has written for a number of different publishers and his work has been collected in a number of trade paperbacks and hardcover editions. Some of Tomasi's best-known work includes his runs on Batman and Robin (with artist Patrick Gleason) and Green Lantern Corps (with artists Doug Mahnke and Ardian Syaf). He has also written a number of one-shots and miniseries, including Superman: Lois and Clark (with artist Doug Mahnke), Batman: Arkham Origins - Blackgate (with artist Doug Mahnke), and Batman: The Dark Knight Returns - The Last Crusade (with artist Klaus Janson). Tomasi is currently working on the Super Sons comic book series, which he co-writes with Patrick Gleason. The series focuses on the sons of Superman and Batman - Jonathan Kent and Damian Wayne - as they team up to fight crime in the present day.
